The stillness in each tai chi step creates a profound inner stillness... of cells healing.
Mom's thoughts on Tai Chi Benefits
In Wu Form we move in a smaller circular radius, thus building up our internal, “chi” energy. And like my teachers, Mr. and Mrs. Chow, I first teach my students the square form... the foundation of how to move the "chi" energy throughout the body.
- Learning a new, movement map that engages the brain becoming mindful of the steps being taught.
- Building strength on both sides of the body as we often favor one side moving throughout our lives.
- Creating “soft form” as we release muscle tension.
- Bringing arms into supported, skeletal, postures that never strain the shoulders nor neck.
- Releasing inner-stagnation that’s often held in our bodies and gently opening the fountain-of-chi energy as it trickles, softly through the organs, muscles, ligaments, and bones.
- Elevating those smiling T-cells that love to boost the immune system.
- The para-sympathetic nervous system is invited to relax the body and calm the mind.
- Journeying… as a group into moving meditation aka" Tai Chi Land."
- It keeps you in the Springtime of Life walking one with balance and grace… physically, emotionally and spiritually.
- Tai Chi takes patience, time and commitment however, in the end it doesn't matter since we also learn how to warp time and space in a most delightful way. Visit my wellness blog at: momscosmicdiner.blogspot.com
