 SPIRITUAL SPRING CLEANING

I love the energy of every season.
But I especially adore SPRING. With longer and warmer days, there seems to be a "spring" in every step I take.

Mother Nature is busy gifting us with visuals on what we can "attend to" energetically. The melting snows and April showers cleanse the air, brings nutrients to flowers, plants and trees as they begin their stretching, upward and outward movements from winter's deep sleep. We too begin to awaken from winter's darkness and introspection as we open our windows and allow fresh air into our homes and lungs. Having more light and being outdoors, hearing the chirping birds as they're busily building their nests. Smelling the perfumed air and seeing the burst of colors as flowers bloom and trees blossom. What a perfect time for us to connect with the renewal of our own life; as we spring clean our homes why not also cleanse the body?

Today I'm introducing you to Aztec Clay and how we can cleanse our largest breathing organ... our skin. Aztec Clay has 50 natural minerals that draw out impurities and toxins from the body. Below are instructions to make a facial mask. It's really fun to do with your friends and partners. You'll see an immediate effect... your skin will be radiant and you'll look younger and refreshed.

Ingredients:
1 tablespoon Aztec Clay
1 tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar
Washed hands
Optional: Soft make-up brush
  1. In palm of hand use your finger to make a smooth mixture; first adding the vinegar then clay. (You can add either more clay or vinegar)
  2. Apply to face and neck with fingers or brush. (It's important to leave spaces around the eyes and lips.)
  3. Wash hands and continue with your day (best to be indoors since you'll look like a Martian).
  4. After 10-20 minutes gently wash with warm water then splash face with cold water and pat skin dry. *
(* Discontinue if rash appears and only use externally)

"Remember to smile as you greet the world with your radiant face. Spring is a wonderful time to nurture your seeds of gratitude and appreciation for Mother Nature's gifts. After all... we are her children." MOM

A REMINDER...

INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE VISITING EARTH

By James McRae

In the event that you wake up

and find your soul separated from source

and manifest into material form,

don’t panic.

Your condition is only temporary.

You have been selected for the

opportunity of human incarnation.

This 3D simulation is designed

to break up the monotony of eternity

by giving you a fully immersive

experience as a distinct ego identity.

Your body will serve

as your physical avatar as you

navigate a dense and dramatic reality.

There will be many distractions

causing you to forget your true nature

and origin. You will experience

a range of emotions, from joy

to loneliness to despair.

But remember – no matter

what trials and traumas you encounter,

your soul remains perfectly safe.

At times you may feel lost or afraid.

This is totally normal.

If you ever need guidance,

simply slow down your busy mind

and bring your awareness

to the quiet place

inside yourself.

On this planet, nothing is permanent.

People and things will come and go.

You will fall in love and form sentimental attachments

only to lose everything you hold dear.

So cling to nothing too tightly, even yourself,

and when it’s time to let go, let go with grace,

for nothing is owned, only borrowed.

As you walk among

the people on the planet,

try to be a good guest.

Tread lightly. Remember

that you are only visiting.

Don’t make a mess.

Listen more than you speak.

Give more than you take.

Don’t keep your soft heart

locked inside a glass cage,

protected from wear and tear.

You’ll never make it out alive

and time passes quickly.

So come back with some battle scars

and good stories to tell.

AUTUMN... a time to REAP, KEEP and RELEASE

Autumn... the time to compress our energies by eliminating the unnecessary and extraneous. It's the season of flexibility and adaptability, which are crucial for staying healthy and balanced during the colder more contracted winter months.
We can prepare for the challenges by:
~Completing unfinished projects.
~Communicate as we become mentally and emotionally ready for the darker, yin,   winter months.
~Setting aside extra food and fuel for the possibility of inclement weather.
~Making our homes cozier and more inviting as we spend more time indoors.

Our ancestors realized the importance of canning, preserving and storing the fruits and vegetables from the fall harvest to sustain themselves as the earth laid fallow and the sunlight lessened. In the later months of Autumn we begin to honor this tradition and utilize Mother Earth’s energy by transmuting time spent as "inner nourishment" to release, reap and keep what works in our life. As the colder months approach we too, begin to hibernate and gather next year’s “spiritual seeds” and then utilizing winter's energy to dream as we choose what we want to manifest in the coming new year.

And in the beginning, middle and end... it's all about LOVE

PEEP...

As we begin a new chapter for 2023, I thought I'd share one of the images from my meditation "clarity harvests." I write about fear which is also Winter's emotion. I was feeling "STUCK" and fearful-of-change when this image appeared.

There was this chick curled up inside an egg with no room left to grow. The chick's feathers were wet and it's little beak was soft and weak. She felt safe but it was a tight and uncomfortable fit.

So, slowly and gingerly the chick began to peck at the shell even though her tender beak hurt with each thrust. It took for what seemed as an eternity until the chick finally broke through her first home.

Then it was effortless as she emerged from the broken container. The chick began to see the expansiveness all around her as she fluffed out her feathers and felt the warm breeze dry out her head, neck, body and wings. So much space. So much wonder at the infinite possibilities that surrounded her as she began to explore her new environment.

The lesson I garnered from this meditation was fear created a container around my spirit. And yes, sometimes it's hard to leave that perceived "safe sanctuary" but well worth the effort to work through and release the fear. For me the reward of breaking through to the other-side was being more in-tune with my compassion, empathy, actions and that in-the-end truth overcomes darkness.  MOM
